Callaway Diablo EDGE Fairway Wood

lay with an Edge.
The new Diablo Edge Fairway Woods are the longest, straightest steel fairway woods Callaway has ever made, with distance gains of 10-12 yards over Big Bertha Diablo. That's not just better, that's a game changer. The Diablo Edge Tour Fairways possess the lowest, shallowest CG of any steel fairway wood Callaway has ever made, providing skilled players with a club that will perform more to their liking.

Greater Forgiveness
With more weight positioned in the extreme perimeter of the clubhead, Diablo Edge Fairway Woods have the highest moment of inertia (MOI) ever in a steel Callaway fairway wood. That means less clubhead twisting at impact and, therefore, greater forgiveness.

VFT Face Pattern
Delivering higher ball speeds for increased distance, the new, more aggressive VFT face pattern makes these fairway woods dramatically hotter.

Callaway Core Technologies
With Standard and Tour models, Diablo Edge Fairway Woods are available in a look and performance that will suit any type of player. Standard models have slightly larger clubheads. Tour models offer full hosels, less face progression and smaller, more conventional head shapes.

The Callaway Diablo Edge Driver follows is the latest addition to the popular and attention-grabbing Diablo range and boasts the largest sweet spot of any titanium driver produced by Callaway.

Callaway's engineers have guaranteed the weight efficiency of the Diablo Edge golf driver by using a four piece, ultra thin titanium construction process with each component made to exacting standards and fused together to precisely distribute the weight. This greater weight efficency allows the Diablo Edge to offer extra distance and a penetrating ball flight.

Continuing their commitment to using the very latest technology in designing their clubs Callaway have introduced a new Chemically Milled Hyperbolic Cup Face that uses a chemical reduction process to produce extreme precision in clubface thickness. This encourages consistently high ball speeds across the large Diablo Edge Driver sweetspot.

A new, aerodynamic clubhead has also been introduced which has helped Callaway reduce drag by up to 8% while a weight chip positioned to the rear of the clubhead produces a slight draw bias along with Callway's highest ever moment of inertia.

Callaway Fairway Woods A Good Decision

There are many golfers trying to make the decision as to whether they should add a hybrid club to their bag. Then of course they have to decide which hybrid they want. That in and of itself brings a who new set of difficulties for making the decision.

Callaway Fairway Woods are great clubs and they currently offer three different hybrids, the FT Hybrid, the X Hybrid and the Heavenwood Hybrid. In order to decide which one is the best one for you will depend on your game and your personal preference.

One of the reasons to switch to a hybrid club would be if your iron shots are flying to low to hold the green on your approach. Hybrid clubs will give you the need trajectory, Another reason that the hybrid could be a good change or addition is because of the additional clubhead speed that is generated by the longer shaft. They also have a lower center of gravity in the clubhead, Your ball will have a steeper angle of descent when it hits the green and because of that it will hold the green much better.

A second reason you may want to switch to a hybrid is because you are starting to lose distance or maybe you have no distance gaps between your clubs. What I mean by this is that your distances are all bunching up. The moment of inertia (MOI) of hybrids is much higher than that of irons. What that means is that there is much more forgiveness on off-center hit. This combined with the increase in shaft length is the reason hybrids are easier to hit than irons. Due to the forgiveness of hybrids, you’ll find that you lose less ball speed and less accuracy on off-center hits than you would with your irons.

“With the longer shafts found in hybrids, you’ll generate more clubhead speed which will enable you to get that distance back as well,” Peterson says. “That will also give you more of an appropriate separation between clubs. Irons are very penal compared to a hybrid or fairway wood.”

“As your irons get longer and have less loft, your misses always get more penal,” Peterson adds. “So, if you miss-hit a 6-iron a bit, it’s still gets up and still spins. If you miss-hit your 4-iron or 3-iron, it doesn’t have the spin so it starts to fall out of the air. That means your distance separation starts to compress. That’s where you will see the benefit of a hybrid.”

Callaway Fairway Woods are the choice of many top PGA players. Callaway fairway woods have always been one of the most innovative and technically sound woods you can buy.
