  1. @leumas1210 Stop talking, faggot!! Don’t be jealous.

  2. @leumas1210 Damn someone has been drinking the jeremy clarkson kool aid. There are extremely few cars even now that can achieve this kind of top speed and and still have interior,ac,stereo etc. All the euro fags are balls deep with the Veryon when GM achieved almost exactly the same in ’88. If you think this a piece of shit your just retarded and know nothing about cars.

  3. Your basically playing russian roulette taking this lump of shit to its top speed. I’m pretty sure David Hasselhoff took ‘KITT’ way faster than this redneck rocket….

  4. @BrianDewy it never fell apart they drove it to the test track and back didn’t pull it off a trailer like a veryon this car is still around running fine this car was completely street able making 800+hp is no wear near the 2500Hp that block is capable of you obliviously don’t understand the truth and just make up lies it never broke down and you can still get one today with 400,000

  5. Yes I understand why it fell apart every 10 minutes, even in this video they explained that it fell apart trying to get it there. Capability and sustainability are to different things, sure the car went that fast but for how long ,, NOT long at all , it breaks down because everything was on the limits or beyond the limitations of the vehicle.

  6. granny could drive this car to church

  7. this car was offered with a factory warrenty

  8. the guys like aagrhh i gotta get in the van, my brown slacks are getting wet. just think at the speeds they’d be at today, 275+?, im sure they are, we just don’t know, think of what we don’t know.

  9. Production duct tape on nose?

  10. One this maybe so , howcome its not recognised in any offical record books anywhere

  11. furthermore all you saying this car was not a production car I would like to direct you at the ZR-1 twin turbo super-speedster. very few were made but it did go into production under the callaway mark and produced 800Hp. I can buy one today for $400,000.00

  12. but they likely don’t have AC and were not built in the 1980′s. in the US we have plenty of cars much faster than this but none are street legal. the point of this car was a refined vehicle capable of hitting 250Mph. It took more than a decade for Europeans to accomplish this.

  13. One of the most historic automotive achievements. Ever.

  14. Callaway and Lingenfelter.

Big John will be dearly missed.

  15. wow, takes balls to do any testing on a wet track imo

  16. the callaway corvette is a production car Brian and the lingenfelter package is street legal, and in all this car back then would have cost for the car like $25,000, and with the package and exhause changes still far less than a production zr1 now and it would eat the veyron for breakfast

  17. Bottomline with any car that is not production build means just that , its modified outside the standards required to meet the government contols that allow cars to be registered.
You might as well say wella Top fueler does 500kp/h does 1/4 in 4.5 seconds. Thrust 2 does Mach 1 , but its not a production car , neither is this thing, its a modified car. There is a Transam inGermany that has be clocked at 420 kp/h which is 1400hp.There is a car in England which is 2000hp that does who knows etc.

  18. You guys get your facts straight, this is not a production car for starters. This car produces 989hp which is 100 short of what the Veyron produces and it cost $400000US to make.

  19. the hardest thing is that they had probably no wind tunnel testing done…I would think that that beast flips over at 400km/h…-what an outstanding achievement!!!great stuff!!!

  20. now THATS a veyron slayer lol

  21. wow i must say that is impressive
half the hp of a bugatti veyron and yet faster ?
now that is what i call engineering.

  22. Tell us another way to go 254mph….

  23. also the ”confusing” classic corvette design. who can imagine in the light-traffic what a beast is near of him…”just a a simple corvette”… maybe guess someone…but when the lights turns green, then surely his chin go down…knows anyone the acceleration of this car at 0-100 kph (or 0-60 mph)?

  24. yes!!!!!! i remember that…back then in 1996-8, around10-12 years old, i read car magazines made 1988-91…the test was done in an old air lane. 254,7 mph(=409,9kph)!!!!!! from 880 ps.i can’t believe how old is this car but it’s in today’s highest standards about performance. for the early 90′s was extraterrestrial. Reeves is a genius. i have this car in my heart…but it’s cost (back then) 120000 dollars…and my family never have so much money…

  25. Someone upload it in HQ/HD!!! If this is badass, imagine how it would be with the quality cranked up!!

BTW is this a promo video or a type or TV special?
